The aim of the project is to improve the educational and professional qualifications and to develop the skills of the children and youth covered by the project, in order to improve their chances of social and professional inclusion and equal opportunities.
The Institute of Education of University of Minho, through Professor Maria Jose Casa-Nova, is, since the beginning, an important partner with es-sential contributions for the reflection and assis-tance of the project, given the knowledge produced on it research areas.
After eight years of field work, we feel the need to extend the reflective process to other entities and professionals that work with Roma population. The-refore, this International Seminar comes up as a meeting between those who wish to share, reflect and discuss strategies, contents and methods of intervention with Roma population, namely on the particular field of education.
